Why can't I just turn off this feature instead of spending time looking for how to turn it off every time the app is updated. I can't turn it off on my phone and this is annoying. The only reason I still use it is because of work. this 2.0 feature is frustrating me. please help to turn it off and never turn on back again by itself.

Chat messages go from bottom to top, Team messages go from top to bottom. They are both instant messages in a chat client. Why do they have two different UX design choices?

No, your "Teams" channels are not being used as a forum. People are not "marking as read" an instant chat message. That's what read receipts are for.

Make it consistent or give us the options to choose!

This is probably the SINGLE MOST USELESS feature Microsoft has ever brought forward.

There isn't a single chat application in the WORLD that uses this "feature."

If you're looking to push away your customers, CONGRATULATIONS, you will succeed.

My Teams was updated on 22 June, and now I have version 1.6.00.16372, which has this problem "solved" (i.e. it reverted back to the old mode of operation).

Maybe your IT did something, I am on a newer version:

    > You have Microsoft Teams Version 1.6.00.16472 (64-bit). It was last updated on 2023-06-23.

    This has the channel issue.

How weird, I would've thought it's an update, but maybe they're pushing hidden settings? At lease I can't find any setting that changes the way the channels are displayed...
