I have lost the meeting notes option from the task bar at the top, how do I get this back?

I had the same issue but eventually found the notes in a bizarre location. In Teams go to Calendar. Open the meeting that you took notes for. Click on "Details" tab. You'll see your meeting info w teams links, etc. Scroll down the page and your notes should be there. Why are the notes hidden away? Should be an easy access through the meeting chat or at least have a "notes" tab like when you start the notes. When I tagged people on action items, they got a link to the meeting notes and those open in Sharepoint.

    It is bizarre! And now, you have to join a meeting to get into notes. And as of July 25, no access to meeting notes at all for me or my colleagues.

    It looks like we are in a transition phase between old and new. During the transition phase, the meeting minutes / notes feature is basically non-existent (i.e. completely broken).

    The link that some have provided to the new way of doing things says you have to subscribe to some sort of technology preview program, i.e. you must be a beta tester. It says that if you are in this program, what you can do is go search on Office 365 and you may find a editable document with your meeting notes. And you'll only find them if somebody created them during a meeting using a "notes" button.

    Personally, I'd rather have participants listening during the meeting, not have them focussed on stumbling with the UI to try to enter notes before the meeting ends.

    I likely didn't get all the details right. I couldn't get myself to read it all, because I am still quite disgusted to see the feature removed and I have no intention of switching to some cryptic, obscure, extremely hard to find, half-baked system that couldn't justifiably be called a workaround.

    The work around about the Detail tab does not work. And as stated before, if you download the document then it tells you to update in Teams where it does not open.

    We have vital information in our Meeting Notes. It worked yesterday and not today. Has anyone found a solution yet?

    In the Chat it shows "Show notes in fullscreen", but when you click on it does nothing.

    This is occurring in all my Teams meetings. A full history of notes and no ability to access.

    I was able to access my meeting notes on OneDrive under Microsoft Teams Data -> Wiki folder.

    Hopefully you are setup with OneDrive as well and can access your notes as well.

    I opened the file in MS Word and fixed the formatting, then stored this as a file on Teams for my specific meeting (on Files tab).

    At least now we can do the following:

    1. Everyone in the meeting now has access to the notes under Files
    2. We can open the notes in Word and update them as needed
