The only way it worked for me was to run powershell as admin and run this:

    Add-AppxPackage -Path $path

    Run the PowerShell as Administrator

Add-AppxPackage -path "C:\YOURPATH TO THE TEAMS MSIX FILE\MSTeams-x64.msix"

    This worked for me. :)

    Hi Harish_063,

Thank you for posting on the forum today. I'm Bambi, a user like you and I'll be happy to assist you.

It seems that you are encountering an error message while trying to install Microsoft Teams for work. The error message indicates that the app package is not supported for installation by App Installer because it uses certain restricted capabilities.

First, make sure that your device meets the minimum system requirements for Microsoft Teams. You can find the system requirements on the Microsoft Teams download page.

If your device meets the system requirements, try deleting all MS Teams entries on your credential manager. Here’s how to do it:

-Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box. -Type “control keymgr.dll” and press Enter. -In the Credential Manager window, click on “Windows Credentials”. -Look for any entries related to Microsoft Teams and click on them. -Click “Remove” to delete the entries.

Next, try re-downloading the installation file from the Microsoft Teams download page. Make sure that you download the correct version of Teams for your device.

If re-downloading the installation file doesn’t work, try running the Program Install and Uninstall troubleshooter. Here’s how to do it:

-Download the Program Install and Uninstall troubleshooter. -Run the troubleshooter and follow the instructions.

I hope this information helps. Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with.

    Best Regards, Bambi
