New Teams - How do you remove users from the "Pick an account" / Login screen?

While testing "New Teams" I have noticed that the "Pick an account" / Login screen shows the previous users that have logged in, even if they have clicked "sign out".

When clicking on those users, it also logs them in without asking for a password.

After reading other posts here, I have tried deleting the cache here: %LocalAppData%\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe

And also deleting the data in this folder: %LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.AAD.BrokerPlugin_cw5n1h2txyewy

Doing this has stopped the accounts from being logged in without a password, but the accounts still appear on the "Pick an account" / Login screen.

They do not show in classic teams or any other application and there are no additional accounts in the "Access Work and School" windows setting page.

I have also tried to fully remove and reinstall Teams but the accounts are still visible.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

Thanks

EDIT:

I have found a possible solution:

Delete:
%LocalAppData%\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe
%LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.AAD.BrokerPlugin_cw5n1h2txyewy
%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\OneAuth
%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\TokenBroker
%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\IdentityCache

Then restart the PC.

This will sign out all Microsoft products but does remove the users from the login list and removed their login details, meaning a password is required to login to Teams.

Hi, I have tried it on both, a managed device and a personal laptop, the same issue happens on both.

I am afraid this appears to be a bug with the new Teams, especially when it doesn't appear on the old.

I am afraid you will have to use the Help > Give Feedback option to report this.

I too have this same exact issue.

This is a shared PC in a conference room. With the old teams app I had a GPO to remove a few folders in Microsoft.AAD.BrokerPlugin. With the new Teams there is no way to remove the accounts. I've done everything the OP has done and then some.

This is very frustrating as there are a list of users saved on this shared PC.

And also deleting the data in this folder: %LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.AAD.BrokerPlugin_cw5n1h2txyewy

Dealing with the same problem, and this is the closest thing I've seen to a solution so far. Here's to hoping it's patched! I can't see any way in which disallowng users from logging out could be considered expected functionality.

That worked some times for me, other times I have needed to restart the PC, other times I needed to also fully reinstall the Teams app. Something is not working as expected. I hope this gets fixed soon. Nothing fully removed the accounts but at least it is not remembering the password after deleting and reinstalling.
