how to hide the chat panel in teams?

I like to keep my teams small so previously, with 80% zoom and the teams window as small as possible, I realized that the chat panel would auto hide and it would show only when I hover my mouse over Chat.

However, recently chat panel would stay open so it is taking up quite a space in my small teams window. Does anyone know how to make this chat panel auto hide itself?

Only way to make it hide is if I make the zoom 115% which is ridiculously large for me...

    Well, I don't know if Microsoft changed it again. It seems like now the chat auto hides itself with teams window as small as possible with 80% zoom.

    I just tried from 105% to 80% and it does not auto hide for me. It only works at the moment on 115% as provided by PeteLVF

    Thanks for the 115% zoom solution. It works althought the fonts are bigger but its better this way for the chat is hide now.

    Please bring back the auto-hide feature or the option to hide the chat panel.

    115% didn't work for me either... i had to change it to 155% ...... which is not very convenient, but at it still better than not having it hide..
