Pressing Ctrl + C only lets you copy the conversation. I cannot give specific examples because my work is confidential but. This is the reddit post that is talking about the issue I am talking about. Copying Sender Information No Longer a Thing? : r/MicrosoftTeams (reddit.com)

Yet another vote here... it was always a bit random or seemed to be if you got the corrupted junk combination of text or the nicer formatted Name, Time and comments. What the hell is the use of comments like this from a chat I saw recently when copy/pasted: Now same with name & times.... hmm, heh we used to have that!

We have got XY| going on at the moment, can you help.

Yes I am looking at it

Our team has working on this evening

I have put a new version into test

    I confirm looks Ok

    Me too

    Agreed will roll it out.

    Yes, put it live

    Tested...

    This works, ish.

I hate how it copies it all crappy like

    Testing by NAME

    8:01 AM

    NAME

    Testing

    Testing 1 2 3 by NAME

    8:01 AM

    NAME

    Testing 1 2 3

The cow jumped over the moon and they were ... by NAME

    8:01 AM

    NAME

The cow jumped over the moon and they were really really really good jumpers

It used to copy everything really neat and clean with timestamps in brackets next to the names and not the extra "..." lines when there was too much text.

Microsoft - you really need to fix this NOW!

I found that using the OLD version of Teams will include the timestamp and name.
