Why in Teams you are unable to copy the time stamp and name of the person anymore.

    Agreed. This is a DISASTER. I am losing a huge amount of productivity time. In reality, the functionality should really be like Whatsapp, with the ability to select multiple messages with checkmarks and do an action, such as copy, to all checked messages at once. Would be great for forward too as forwarding 1 message at a time is rediculous.

    I am going to open a uservoice about this and will update here with my link to vote for the idea.

    Agreed and look forward to your uservoice to hopefully help Microsoft understand the negative impact this has had from the reverse logic thinking that led to this serious regression.

    The best workaround I have found since the additional updates (regressions) is to forward the message in TEAMS, then copy/paste the message somewhere else (Word?), exit the message forwarding to get back to "normal" in TEAMS. You can then edit the message you are "forwarding", but it will keep the date/time stamp and the name of the person who made the post.

    The Windows platform has been and always will be a garbage product because of issues like this. It would be nice not having band-aids and "workarounds", or better yet, stop changing things and leave it alone. Quit breaking everything. Please pass this on to the Microsoft overlords.

    And the "workaround" does work, but this is getting really old.

    A viable workaround A Ja Pramshafer, though painful that we have to go to these lengths merely for a date/time stamp on an IM, crucial information for records, especially in a legal environment.

    Yet again Microsoft development has their collective heads firmly inserted into their rectums.

    They just don't get it... I'm shocked, but I'm not surprised. :-/
