Based on your description regarding "Why in Teams you are unable to copy the time stamp and name of the person anymore." My sincerest apologies for the inconvenience this might be causing you, after thorough testing, I reproduced your issue at my side. It could be Microsoft changed something at backend. I will report it to replated team. The Workaround I found is to hold mouse for selecting the message with Time Stamp and name of the person you want then use CTRL+C for copy and CTRL+V for paste while you are still holding mouse. Therefore, I will update this thread as soon as I get more detail information about the query and fix.

Also, if you have the organization admin permission, you can also raise a service request to report this symptom to our online channel through the O365 admin center. A support agent can further connect with you remotely, for further troubleshooting and involve the backend team where need be. Get support for Microsoft 365 for business -- Online support. I will also revert back when I get more info on this. Your patience and cooperation are much appreciated. Have a nice day!

The work around don't work. This is needed in my job as an IT Support person. Copying the Teams Dialog makes updates easy. Now I have to go back and Type the Name and Time stamp for each and every response. Adds 10 min to an hour or more depending on how long the conversation is.

I need this feature to be available again. Taking it away was not a smart move

I also really need this feature back on. It is sooo useful when taking minutes or making reports when running an cyber incident. It gives a really nice way to capture the points discussed during the meeting. Pls bring it back!

Internally, the old style copy including timestamp and usernames is still there. It's just disabled by the internal setting "coreSettings.compose.disableTimestampOnCopy" which cannot be reached by the user nor changed in the Teams tenant, as I was told.

In teams-for-linux, the unofficial Teams client, which works also in Windows, I think it is now possible to get the old behavior back.

Does Microsoft even READ our posts, concerns, and frustration or is this page ignored by them? Are we not the voice of the people, THEIR customers? When someone states they have a LEGAL and IMPERATIVE REQUIREMENT to pull data, does MS no longer care about us and our needs as discussed in this thread?

Their "excuse" that they are hiding or containing "microdata" to preserve the anonymity of the poster is just BOGUS!
