Yesterday morning, seemingly after an update, everyone in my group who uses Dark Mode in Teams noticed vertical white lines appear that divide the sections of the chat screen (between the left side icons and the chat selection tree as well as between the tree and the chat window itself. We all find these lines very annoying and would like to remove them. However, we haven't found a way to turn them off. Suggestions (besides switching to the blinding Light or Classic modes?

Confirm. Today I get and update and the lines can't be remove by any of the methods described in this post. Clear cache, uninstall/install the app and reseting doesn't work anymore
Quoting somebody here, this lines looks more like a feature and not (clearly) a bug
I think it's still a super annoying bug because when you hover over a side button, the left line hides underneath... very unprofessional - but that's what we've come to expect from MickeySoft these days...

Microsoft Teams updated across our workplace this week (over 10,000 users) and introduced these obnoxious white bars. Making the "Dark" theme comparable to the "High Contrast" theme unnecessarily. The "Light" theme does not show harsh black lines to divide the sidebar, it just shows a slightly offset light-grey to make the distinction.
Likewise, the Windows "Settings" view and other default apps use a dark grey for the sidebar menu (#1f1f1f) to offset the main content section (#000000), no high contrast divider. Teams should remain modeled off of these.
I would personally prefer to see customizable XML/JSON templates so we can customize the color values for each component. It makes little sense why that isn't an option in this program in the year 2024, either as a UI "customize the color scheme" or just backend template file.
They aren't just vertical. They are an annoying border around everything, and it sucks...
