Yesterday morning, seemingly after an update, everyone in my group who uses Dark Mode in Teams noticed vertical white lines appear that divide the sections of the chat screen (between the left side icons and the chat selection tree as well as between the tree and the chat window itself. We all find these lines very annoying and would like to remove them. However, we haven't found a way to turn them off. Suggestions (besides switching to the blinding Light or Classic modes?

    Good day! Quick update!

It appears that the vertical white borders in Microsoft Teams' Dark Mode have been quite an inconvenience. I experienced the same issue, but it was resolved after reinstalling Teams. Fortunately, Microsoft has addressed this problem in a recent update.

Here’s what you can do to fix it:

    1. Ensure you have the latest version of Microsoft Teams. Click on your profile picture in Teams and select Check for updates.
    2. If updating doesn’t resolve the issue, try uninstalling and reinstalling Teams. Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps, find Microsoft Teams, and uninstall it. Then, download and install the latest version from the Microsoft Teams website.
    3. Sometimes, resetting the app can help, for end users with no full permissions. Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps, find Microsoft Teams, click the three dots next to it, and select Advanced options. Then, click Reset.

Following these steps should help eliminate the annoying vertical white borders in Dark Mode. If you continue to experience issues, feel free to reach out for further assistance. Thank you.

Thank heavens my company implemented a Teams Cache Cleaner app, and it works fine removing those extremely annoying bars.

The fact that my company had to implement a Teams Cache Cleaner app in the first place says it all though...
