Unable to collapse the left side panel in teams anymore

As of yesterday, the display of my teams will no longer collapse the left side panel. I've tried settings, restarting the app, and restarting the computer. It used to open after selecting one of the options next to it, like chat or teams and then it would automatically close after I selected what I wanted from those options. How do I get it to collapse again?

Yes, that looks right. So you have signed out and in, repaired, rebooted and still no good?

How do i get the newer version? We have it so teams updates automagically.

I uninstalled teams, reinstalled using the .exe you download from MS. Performed the update, and now it has the below version...gotta love the consistency

    THEY FIXED IT!

None of the so-called solutions worked for more than past the end of a day. Always, the next morning it was back to not collapsing unless I zoomed to at least 115% - I prefer 80%. After weeks of putting up with it, I just moments ago clicked the blue dot to do another update and it's working properly again. Thank you. (Hopefully, it will still be working tomorrow.)
