Unable to collapse the left side panel in teams anymore

As of yesterday, the display of my teams will no longer collapse the left side panel. I've tried settings, restarting the app, and restarting the computer. It used to open after selecting one of the options next to it, like chat or teams and then it would automatically close after I selected what I wanted from those options. How do I get it to collapse again?

The first set of steps did not work for my situation. The second set of steps, deleting the cache did not work as well. The only thing that has been working has been uninstalling the application but at any point if i lock my screen and come back the issue still remains. I have my settings set up so the application doesn't run in background, I have turned off the 'Running at log-in'. Also in the application Setting's -> General -> "Auto-Start Teams" and "On close, keep the application running" are all deselected.

Plus this is my Microsoft Teams Version:
Version You have Microsoft Teams version 24215.1007.3082.1590.You've got the latest version. It was last checked on 9/17/2024.The client version is 49/24061318413.
