Unable to collapse the left side panel in teams anymore

As of yesterday, the display of my teams will no longer collapse the left side panel. I've tried settings, restarting the app, and restarting the computer. It used to open after selecting one of the options next to it, like chat or teams and then it would automatically close after I selected what I wanted from those options. How do I get it to collapse again?

This morning, my Teams side bar started refusing to collapse. None of the settings noted above even exist on mine and I'm not going to change my monitor resolution and make everything else too large or too small. Since my Teams doesn't have a Zoom option, I tried changing zoom by rolling the mouse wheel while holding Ctrl. After I zoom in past a certain point, the bar once again collapses as it used to. However, now the print is larger than I would like. Since the moderator referred to specific settings, I'm assuming that they exist for him. Why are they not on my Teams?

    Hi

I had the same issue. I reset the Teams app, and the problem was fixed.

Hey, Eduardo. What do you mean by 'reset' the Teams app - completely uninstall it and re-install? Or is there some setting to reset original?

Actually, never mind. I found the reset in Windows Settings. It says that if I do that it'll flush all of the App's data so that's not a great option, either.
