Unable to collapse the left side panel in teams anymore

As of yesterday, the display of my teams will no longer collapse the left side panel. I've tried settings, restarting the app, and restarting the computer. It used to open after selecting one of the options next to it, like chat or teams and then it would automatically close after I selected what I wanted from those options. How do I get it to collapse again?

    Same issue here. There are no diagonal arrows or anything to select.

    It started happening this morning. Super annoying and I don't want to delete all the data in the app.

    I want to hide the pane outlined in red (names removed for privacy reasons). It used to hide automatically when I selected a team, and you'd just have the chat window on the right side:

    P.S. If I shrink the window I can't keep shrinking width-wise, so it doesn't hide the "Teams" pane like it used to.

    I am having the same issue. It just started this week. I do not have the diagonal arrows and do not have an option to collapse tabs. I have tried several of the suggestions but nothing has helped. This is very frustrating. I hope Microsoft is working on correcting this issue. It seems I am not the only one who is upset with the change.

    Same issue none of the options listed in the answer are available.
    Version You have Microsoft Teams version 24193.1805.3040.8975.You've got the latest version. It was last checked on 8/26/2024.The client version is 49/24080212008.
