Additional chat-related features and issues within Microsoft Teams for business
Hi
I had the same issue. I reset the Teams app, and the problem was fixed.

As of yesterday, the display of my teams will no longer collapse the left side panel. I've tried settings, restarting the app, and restarting the computer. It used to open after selecting one of the options next to it, like chat or teams and then it would automatically close after I selected what I wanted from those options. How do I get it to collapse again?

This morning, my Teams side bar started refusing to collapse. None of the settings noted above even exist on mine and I'm not going to change my monitor resolution and make everything else too large or too small. Since my Teams doesn't have a Zoom option, I tried changing zoom by rolling the mouse wheel while holding Ctrl. After I zoom in past a certain point, the bar once again collapses as it used to. However, now the print is larger than I would like. Since the moderator referred to specific settings, I'm assuming that they exist for him. Why are they not on my Teams?
I also am having the same annoying problem & I use teams through my agency.
There is no 'collapse side bar' option anywhere in settings & it is very annoying.
I agree with another individual who posted on this thread & said 'stop making stupid updates nobody asked for!!'
Who wanted half of their screen covered with an annoying side bar. I have multiple screens open sometimes & that sidebar makes it impossible to see what I'm doing when I have to minimize the app
I have tried all of the suggested fixes and found the only thing that works is to set my zoom to 115%.
That's not great, I'd like to have it at 80%.
Can we fix this bug please?
