Unable to collapse the left side panel in teams anymore

As of yesterday, the display of my teams will no longer collapse the left side panel. I've tried settings, restarting the app, and restarting the computer. It used to open after selecting one of the options next to it, like chat or teams and then it would automatically close after I selected what I wanted from those options. How do I get it to collapse again?

This has been a constant struggle for my Workers. It is frustrating that it either is tiny unreadable text or taking up half the screen now.

I have utilized both recommendations above & it works for about 2-4 hrs before it just resets back to that annoying left side tab. Please update and Fix this ASAP

Might as well add my complaint to the pile. I use a vertical screen for reading and monitoring chats and teams, so this "feature" is really annoying. As with others, an app reset/reinstall will fix the issue but updating the app breaks it again. Zooming in also eventually fixes it but then I lose so much real estate, so it solves one problem with another problem.

I sent feedback using the feedback button, but want to keep bumping this topic in the forum as well. Hopefully we see a fix soon. The work arounds are tiresome.

I had already not only uninstalled classic teams, but some 'Persona;' teams that somehow got installed as well, and the problem remains.

Things work a day, maybe two, but it reverts to locking the left navigation pane open and not autoclosing it.

This is, along with Copilot being shoved down my throat but being completely useless for what I do, a source of significant frustration as it adds a number of daily tasks to my work that are unnecessary as I have to fix everything before I can start working efficiently.

I did the same, but then the next day it had the same problem.

It works through the day, then I exit teams, and I restart it the following day, and it exhibits the issue again.

How has this not been fixed yet? I don't want half my screen filled by teams.
