As of yesterday, the display of my teams will no longer collapse the left side panel. I've tried settings, restarting the app, and restarting the computer. It used to open after selecting one of the options next to it, like chat or teams and then it would automatically close after I selected what I wanted from those options. How do I get it to collapse again?

Close app- go into the start menu- microsoft teams- right click- more- settings- reset. None of the other things worked, but this did.

Same is happening to me. Restarting the app in settings used to work for a day, but now it doesn't work at all.
I have the same issue.
It seems that the left panel starts collapsing again only after you zoom in enough so that the panel takes above 50% of your screen. This was 140% zoom in on my vertical monitor and 240% on my horizontal one.
Please fix this issue, it's so annoying!
I have the same issue (on macOS) as do many of my colleagues following an update rolled out today. None of the fixes suggested here have worked for any of us. This has been very disruptive to our workflow (we work on laptops, across two chat platforms and are on the move a lot). A fix would be greatly appreciated.
I have a client who is legally blind and depends on the collapse feature to communicate daily. I hope Microsoft is able to enable this feature in the near future seeing as it impacts accessibility.
