Unable to collapse the left side panel in teams anymore

As of yesterday, the display of my teams will no longer collapse the left side panel. I've tried settings, restarting the app, and restarting the computer. It used to open after selecting one of the options next to it, like chat or teams and then it would automatically close after I selected what I wanted from those options. How do I get it to collapse again?

It happens in Version 25094.310.3616.953 too. Nothing fixes it other than clearing cache every day.

None of these works. Everything was working until Version 25094.310.3616.953. Now, to keep my sidebar open and the panels closed, I have to clear cache every day. It's ridiculous.

Same. I do not have the diagonal arrows or other settings/menu items mentioned. The Chat list on the left takes up half of my screen when I have the font size readable on my tiny work laptop. So annoying!

The more I play with this, the more I think the UX team is run by a bunch of interns.

I have a 3 column layout on an ultra wide monitor. I use to have a side bar that shows my Teams chats, and would appear when hovering over the Chat icon, and it would show a notification for each.

Now at the same width, I have 3 columns, which makes the read column supper skinny. I can drag the handle and close the chat column, but now I have zero indication of which chat was replied to, unless I click the drag handle and expand the chat column. Then to close it, I now have to drag the handle back to left. And I have to change chats this way too, instead of just hovering over the chat icon!

You just added more clicks to do a simple task, and took away the at a glance notification. All for a stupid 300x300 window size.

Dude what in the hell? Did someone need to keep their job so they completely broke the flow of Teams.
This drawer method is so **** backwards in ease of use, brings more annoyances, more clicking, revert this change now and bring back hover and autohide.
