"New" Teams notification are not working correctly

Notifications in the "new" Teams are horrible. I keep missing activity posts, chats and phone calls because I'm not notified. I do NOT want another email report of new posts and things I missed throughout the day. I want a notification indicator on the taskbar icon, a notification indicator on the Activity/Chat/Calls icons in the left column, and I want the @ notification if I'm tagged in anything. I'm eager to use the "new" Teams but so far there are too many things are just plain terrible and useless.

    Changing the show notifications to 30 seconds hasn't helped. I switched back to the classic Teams the past couple of months but just learned that our organization is rolling out the "new" Teams at the end of March. I've switched back on Friday and have missed multiple notifications and chats that were directed to me. I explained the issues I was having to our help desk but it went on deaf ears because I couldn't get him to understand what I was talking about. He showed me how to "customize" my Teams settings but since there are only 2 options (basically on or off), he was no help. I am not at all looking forward to when we are forced to make this switch because there are still so many issues with "new" Teams.

    Was happening to me on a mac and I was missing a ton of comms. I had to go to settings>notification preferences>Open Mac Notification & Focus preferences and click "manage" scroll down to teams and make sure it's turned on. Looks to be working now. hopefully you figure it out on your end, it was driving me crazy!

    I too wasn't getting banner/popup notifications for all of the things I used to before switching to the new Teams. I was still getting some and couldn't figure out why. I even checked my settings several times. But just now, I finally realized that my there was a change in one of the notifications settings from the old to new Teams.

    On the old Teams, it was Settings > Notifications. Under "Teams and channels", you'd select the option you wanted.

    In the new Teams, it's Settings > Notifications and activity. Under "Posts in shown and pinned channels", it was marked off as "Off". After switching it to "Show in Activity and banner", I'm now getting all of my banner/popup notifications again.

    Note: I declined to get notified about responses to my post.

    Same for me. This seems a bug of New Teams.

    The option "Notify when available" dissapeared from contextual menu of chat in the New Teams.

    In OS settings > System > Notifications > There is no option for new teams, just for classic teams (and it is active).

    I agree, the new teams stinks. All notifications are turned on but I still get no notifications.
