Adjusting alert preferences for messages, mentions, and activity within Microsoft Teams
Hi all,
You need to turn on the [Notification Centre] => switch, even if I use a Macbook (OSX).
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Notifications in the "new" Teams are horrible. I keep missing activity posts, chats and phone calls because I'm not notified. I do NOT want another email report of new posts and things I missed throughout the day. I want a notification indicator on the taskbar icon, a notification indicator on the Activity/Chat/Calls icons in the left column, and I want the @ notification if I'm tagged in anything. I'm eager to use the "new" Teams but so far there are too many things are just plain terrible and useless.

Thank you for the response.
I have seen a dozen different fixes all related to settings. It is not a settings problem. There have been a couple of suggestions that have temporarily worked but Teams always reverts back to not notifying you of new messages.
Hi all,
I understand your frustration regarding this issue and here are some tips to have the issue resolved:
Step 1 - Open your windows settings
Step 2 - Go to personalization
Step 3 - Click on Taskbar behaviors and make sure that “Show badges on taskbar apps” is checked.
Step 4 - Go to Apps > Installed apps > look for Microsoft teams then click on 3 dots then click terminate > reset > repair.
Hopefully this will help y'all!

Same issues. I have to keep Teams up in Edge just to get alerts. They will update/pop up sometimes hours later.
