"New" Teams notification are not working correctly

Notifications in the "new" Teams are horrible. I keep missing activity posts, chats and phone calls because I'm not notified. I do NOT want another email report of new posts and things I missed throughout the day. I want a notification indicator on the taskbar icon, a notification indicator on the Activity/Chat/Calls icons in the left column, and I want the @ notification if I'm tagged in anything. I'm eager to use the "new" Teams but so far there are too many things are just plain terrible and useless.

    When you set Busy or Do Not Disturb, Teams will turn off all notifications for your account. Make sure to revert your status to Available in the app.

    Is this new? i thought notification only turned off when Do Not Disturb?

    turn on the permission to show Teams notifications in the notification centre

    The problem is that the New Teams does not appear in Notification Center settings!

    New Outlook is there and works, but New Teams not!

    Hello,

    I had same issue and there was someone else who inquired about same thing on this forum back in July and a solution was provided:

    Please try the following steps:

    >> Clear the Teams cache:

    1. If Teams is still running, right-click the Teams icon in the taskbar, and then select Quit.
    2. Open the Run dialog box by pressing the Windows logo key +R.
    3. In the Run dialog box, enter %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams, and then select OK.
    4. Delete all files and folders in the %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams directory.
    5. Restart Teams.

    She mentioned if folders exist in both Local and Roaming then to delete the files in both.

    I followed this and it worked. I still see New on the icon, but now when I have new pings, I see the info as well.

    holy cow! that was even buried or hidden and i had to search for that notification setting. why is microsoft turning to forcing all their users to search for anything and everything?!? that's still so new to me to have to constantly search for things. thank you for changing your post. i've changed it to 30 seconds per your suggestion so i'll see if this helps.
