    FYI, I got the current status info to work in Outlook however, it doesn't seem to stick and the checkbox for chat app in 365 remains unchecked.

    In registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IM Providers\MsTeams, add a value of 2 for the UpAndRunning REG_DWORD.

    If you aren't familiar with the registry editor, don't do this.

    Make sure these registry values exist in both SOFTWARE and SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node locations.

    If you download Teams Classic: https://statics.teams.cdn.office.net/production-windows-x64/1.6.00.29964/Teams_windows_x64.exe, open it up, Go into options and register as the teams chat app. Then you can click the option to "switch to new teams". Presence should then be active in outlook

    Link does not work. I went to MS's site and downloaded classic Teams. Checked the box and switched to new Teams. Register box is still unchecked in new Teams and unable to be checked. I have the current version of new Teams (23285.3604.2469.4152).
