"New Teams" multiple languages spelling check not works

Hi, I have upgraded to "New Teams". I'm writing in multiple languages in different chats. The "old" Version was automatically identifying the language and then do spelling check for this language as described in following article:

Unfortunately this feature does not work on the "new" teams. How can I get back this feature?

    honestly, I would wait for April. I was able to perform the reset, but nothing changed in terms of multi language spell check.

    Your advice did not work on my Win11/MS New Teams app.
    What do you mean by "I solved languages spelling problem on my new version of TEAMS." in your post? Do you mean you can now use more than 1 language and the spellcheck works correctly for them all? Pls, elaborate more on your experience and what you achieved with the fix. As you can see, there are many desperate users out there making spellcheck work simultaneously for multiple languages like it works in some other MS applications including Word.

    After weeks of debate with MS Support I received the official answer from them and I quote:

    "As for Teams, unfortunately, this appears to be a product limitation, just as I mentioned earlier. Currently, Teams doesn’t support spell check for multiple languages simultaneously in the way you'd expect. I understand this is quite frustrating, and I truly appreciate your understanding as we work through these limitations. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, please feel free to reach out."

    In the AI era and after multilanguage spell check is supported in Office and 1.000 other apps since 30 years, MS decided that this is a non important feature 🤯🤯🤯🤯

    That does not sound like, the mentioned update for Teams and spell check includes the multi language feature we crave for. Did they mention that at all?

    Hi all,

    Just to summarize:

    • Multilingual spellcheck does NOT currently work with the new Teams
    • As a workaround you can open a Teams session in a browser in parallel to your normal Teams session, and in the browser multilingual spellcheck works
    • If we are lucky then the rumours about the multilingual spellcheck getting rolled out gradually starting in April 2025 are true
