"New Teams" multiple languages spelling check not works

Hi, I have upgraded to "New Teams". I'm writing in multiple languages in different chats. The "old" Version was automatically identifying the language and then do spelling check for this language as described in following article:

Unfortunately this feature does not work on the "new" teams. How can I get back this feature?

Hello.

Same problem here. I use the following settings:
- Windows display language: English (US)
- Preferred languages: English (US) first, then German (Germany)
- Country or region: Germany
- Regional format: German (Germany)
- Keyboard layout: German (Germany)
When writing in Teams, German spell checking works fine. However, English texts are completely underlined in red, no matter how much I type.

Well, resetting Teams actually showed some changes. English spell checking is working now, but German isn't anymore. Now my German texts are completely underlined in red. Also, Teams is the only App that displays English date and time format instead of German, although "Country and region" and "Regional format" is set to German in the Windows settings.

My conclusion is, that multiple languages are simply not supported in the "New" Teams. For the old version, everything worked fine.

So typical of Microsoft: release a new version of a software that does less than the version it replaces and after a while prevent you from going back to something that worked.

And we pay good $$$ for the privilege.

I'm in the same boat, I type in Engligh, French and Dutch and previsously Teams was spellchecking in all those languaages, now everything I type in French is annoyingly underlined in those wavy red lines.

I'd rather disable spell checking altogheter until that bug is fixed.

I am also having the same issues. New Teams not spell checking. I've Enable Spell check/ Sign out and quit teams / Ensured it's enabled and not working.
Went back to old teams and Spell check works.

Opened new teams and spell check is not working. Tried disabling Sign out and quit and back into new teams / Enabled Spell Check and signed out and quite and back in and still not working.

Please fix.

After weeks of debate with MS Support I received the official answer from them and I quote:

"As for Teams, unfortunately, this appears to be a product limitation, just as I mentioned earlier. Currently, Teams doesn’t support spell check for multiple languages simultaneously in the way you'd expect. I understand this is quite frustrating, and I truly appreciate your understanding as we work through these limitations. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, please feel free to reach out."

In the AI era and after multilanguage spell check is supported in Office and 1.000 other apps since 30 years, MS decided that this is a non important feature 🤯🤯🤯🤯
