How to copy teams chat with Timestamp?

Ever since this month and while using the new team application, I can no longer copy teams chat message with the timestamp. I need the timestamp to reference conversations and it would be a pain to add the time and date stamps for every message I need to copy. Also I found that you can copy messages with a partial timestamp by highlighting the chat messages and press control c while holding the right click button on my mouse. This also doesn't help as I get a preview message with double names. It would be a pain to remove part of a line per chat message I am copying. Is there a way to restore the old copying with the timestamp and an option for those who don't want the timestamp. I know skype had this functionality.

    That does seem to work. But in addition to requiring more work it also seems to capture only one message at a time.

    Good to know, but still not a viable solution.

    Months ago the timeestamp functionality broke, but now it's worse, now the workaround of pressing ctrl+c while still holding the mouse button (with the time highlighted) doesn't work.

    Why is this feature being made progressively worse?

    Unfortunately, I can't see up to now any reaction from MS to the many Customer complaints regarding this Teams update from Aug. 2024.
    Means for me that MS has...:

    • ...neither brought back the usual Copy-Paste functionality in Teams as before Aug. 2024.
    • ...nor implemented a possibility that Customers can configure Copy-Paste in Teams with/without timestamp/user info.

    Please find in the following my personal workarounds, as long as Copy-Paste from Teams chats with timestamp/user info isn't possible:

    1. Using a screenshot tool with function 'Screenshot with scrolling' (I prefer the Screenpresso tool for this).
    2. Automation workaround 'Uninstall current Teams version - Install Teams version 23320' with 2 Powershell scripts.
      (I use these scripts every time a Teams update is done with overwriting Teams version 23320.)
      If somebody is interrested in these PS scripts, I would add them here...

    Once again and with lots of my colleagues working in support business with ticket system or similar: If Teams stays as it is presently regarding Copy-Paste without timestamp/user info, Teams is unusable in this professional environment!
    It is still completely beyond me that MS is considering inputs of a small Customer group but ignore feedbacks from a much bigger Customer group.
