How to copy teams chat with Timestamp?

This works for me in the desktop version of Teams (25094.310.3616.953).

Ctrl-A captures the name, timestamps, and reactions, but you have to delete any previous chat lines and there's also a summary line before the name/timestamp lines that you should delete as well. Still too time-consuming to edit to get what you need.

Copying data dragging downward or upward with the various methods did not work for me.

"Choosing Microsoft"?? Few of us intentionally 'chose' Mushysoft. Frankly, what options are out there. And ever since Bill left, it's gone to pot. You take away practical features and provide goofy social media type garbage! Shouldn't office products be designed for office workers?? I'd say I'm done with it, but where to go?? Pathetic!

That seems to capture the timestamps, and for some of my work that's a reasonable work-around. But normally I'm going back and forth between a running chat and OneNote and only want to copy what has changed. This technique would require re-editing & cutting & pasting mostly the same stuff over and over.

As you describe it, your solution works. If you do a Ctrl-A it (still) grabs everything, including the timestamps.

The problem is, I don't need or want to "grab everything". I just want to grab the last part of my running conversation with one of a couple dozen customers with whom I've been conversing sometimes for months. Ctrl-A just generates (sometimes a lot of) manual clean-up work. Not a viable solution for me.

As for the rest: I haven't yet reached the point of writing a macro to clean stuff up. I've found that if I drop it into a text editor (not WordPad or Word or Excel) I can just go through and delete the '...by...' lines and I'll still have the who & when without the repetition. I could write a script to remove the garbage...but since I'm usually copying a relative few lines I've not (yet) found the need to do so.

Of course, I can't do this when also copying pictures/images, but that happens a lot less often.
