Gif button has gone missing. How do I get it back?

Unfortunately, after downloading the version directly from the website, I allowed the application to go through an update that resulted in the GIF functionality disappearing again. It seems likely this is a bug/side-effect of the latest update and may see a subsequent update restore the functionality.

For now, the only options seem to be to use the older version of Teams (that's going away soon), or to log in to Teams in a web browser via teams.microsoft.com.

I have the same issue. I'm also using the New Teams. I tried the same solutions, and the only workaround that worked was pressing the Windows key + period button, which brought up a pop-up menu for choosing emojis and gifs. Sadly, this workaround doesn't restore gifs to their original location, so it's still bugged for me.

EDIT: Earlier in the day it worked fine, but when I downloaded the recent windows update the bug appeared.

Having the same issue when my Mac updated either windows or Teams. VERY annoying. I am the only one. Rebooting does not help.

I have the same issue on new teams, it happened just yesterday after an update.
None of the proposed solution works for me.

Hi, I'm having the same problem. My giph button was there this morning and now it's gone. My team don't have this problem it's just me. I've followed the above instructions but nothing has helped. Can you please advise?
