GIFs do not load on the new version of Teams. How can I fix that?

When someone in the new Teams chat posts a GIF or a meme they are not loading. It may be a trivial thing but I feel like I can't fully comprehend what people are expressing in Teams because I can't see these things. What do I need to do to fix it?

    We've had this issue with some users here at my company, but not too many. The users that had the problem either had a version update that fixed it, or Microsoft did on their end. Originally, the slider for the "Optional connected experience" was not turned on and turning it on did nothing. Waiting several days to see if there was an update "fixed" the issue for us.

    ***If the option to use a GIF isn't showing in the chat window, nor is there a "+" sign... this might help. It worked for me!

    Open Teams

    >Click the 3 DOTS (on the top right, next to your account icon)

    >Click SETTINGS

    >Click PRIVACY

    >Toggle OPTIONAL CONNECTED EXPERIENCES to "on" mode.

    Go back to your chat window and the GIFs option should show now.

    a quick fix to the issue (while Microsoft rolls around an update to fix the bug issue(s)) is to 1) right click on the the GIF that was sent 2) "copy image" 3) and paste it on the reply box or where it says "type a message" 4) then click on the envelope to send and you should be able to see it now (in a reply).
