My camera on MSTeams on IPad Pro M4 suddenly is inverted, showing me upside down to all other attendees.

I am experiencing an issue with the Microsoft Teams app on my iPad Pro M4. When I open the camera for video calls, the camera in landscape view is upside down. This problem only occurs in Microsoft Teams; other apps like FaceTime, Google Meet, Zoom or Telegram do not exhibit this issue.

Device and App Information:

• Device: iPad Pro M4

• iOS Version: 17.5.1

• Microsoft Teams Version: 6.14.0

Steps Taken to Resolve the Issue:

  1. Updated Microsoft Teams to the latest version.
  2. Restarted the Microsoft Teams app.
  3. Restarted the iPad.
  4. Verified camera orientation in the default Camera app (no issues).
  5. Reinstalled Microsoft Teams.
  6. Checked for and installed the latest iOS updates.

Despite these steps, the issue persists. I would appreciate any guidance or support to resolve this problem. Thank you for your assistance.

    This morning our support team, Microsoft and I had a call to showcase the issue during which we collected logs and sent them over.

    They have kept in touch all day and just over an hour ago we had a change of MS engineer, this is what they e-mailed us:

    Engineering team investigated the issue and declared it a bug. We are analyzing diagnostic data from our system telemetry to isolate the source of the issue. In parallel, we're reviewing recent client changes to identify if any are contributing to impact.

    Hope this helps some of you who don't have the same route into Microsoft.

    New iPad M4 13" with fresh Teams install and updated iOS shows me upside down when in landscape position. If I flip my iPad over, I'm upside right on my screen, the controls are upside down on my screen, and the other meeting attendees see me upside down on their screens. If I leave myself upside down on my screen, the controls are right side up on my screen, but the other meeting attendees still see me upside down on their screens.

    When I flipped to portrait orientation, I was right side up on both my screen and the other attendees' screens, and controls were right side up on my screen.

    Same issue here. Seems to be related to the 6.14.0 released one day ago. On the Apple App Store, the version history only states, "Transfer ongoing calls from Teams to mobile phone," but they definitely did something to the camera settings. There is no easy way to revert to the previous 6.13.1 version. Just wait for MS to fix and release to the App Store.

    The only workaround I have found is to use Teams on Safari. But there are issues with virtual backgrounds (they just do not work including blurring). I hope they release an update soon.
