"Notify when available" missing

I'm in the same unfortunate situation, Rani, and you make a good point. Our company is moving over 100% to new Teams April 1 and our computers will be blocked from reverting to Classic. I'm not voting against new just because it's new and I like the old,, but it seems MS is not listening about users discontent over losing this feature.

I also agree with Howard_DJ that this is not about requesting a feature that didn't exist in the first place. I'm going to continue using Classic until we're forced to change - or MS puts the feature in new Teams.

Well, I do vote against a new version when features that I need are removed. I would think that if many people avoid using the new version, maybe the product owner of MS Teams will start thinking about these kind of choices. Normally, removing a feature should go in steps - where you can use the settings to re-enable the removed feature. Which means that you, again, vote for the removal of the feature. Much better approach than posting in the forum, I would think.

In any case, this has nothing to do with requesting a feature that did not exist in the first place.

It's great that you are happy to continue with Teams 'classic' version instead of the new one. However, that's not a solution for everyone. My organisation has a group policy which forces the new version and makes it impossible to go back to the old one, even through the browser.

We're not voting against the new Teams app, we're just using the community forum to request a feature.

Just don't use the new MS Teams. It is a mystery for me that Microsoft upgrade their product by removing such needed features, but well - you can have your vote against it by not using the New MS Teams.

At least for me, if I sign out and quit MS Teams, and then start it again, it asks me if I want to use the New MS Teams - I answer No, and have my Notify when available feature.
