Why is my "Notify when available" missing when I click on a user in Teams?

This is what is missing from a user we support.

Hello WilliamHicks6,

The Notify when available feature is not available in the new Teams. Currently, you will need to select a user’s avatar or profile photo anywhere in new Teams to quickly get an overview of their online status, next available calendar slot in Outlook, work hours, local time, or work location either remote or in office.

Thanks,

Why has Microsoft decided to remove every useful feature of Teams and call it "New Teams" and then just ignore the 10's of thousands of people yelling at them for making the worst mistakes of their lives? This is just 1 of many features ripped out of Teams to make Teams less useful.

Please re-activate "Notify when available feature in the new Teams!

It was a very useful function.

People, stop whining about this. I have used messengers including Teams for work for years and seeing this post was the first time I heard about this kind of feature. At first I thought - yes, seems an interesting feature and yes, stupid Microsoft, just removed a feature without asking.

But with every post notification I get from this topic I realize more and more how useless it actually is. In fact, not actually useless but more like privacy invading. I come online to do some work not to immediately get people on my neck. The people wanting this feature most probably are the same who always want to catch you when you're walking across the office (no matter how busy you seem/are) and want to talk to you for quick 2 minutes (and actually it ends in 15+ minutes). The people who can never say what they want just buy writing you couple of lines (Teams or E-mail), they always want to CALL you. In my opinion that is the beauty of messengers like Teams - you write to a person (who is online, offline, whatever) whenever you want and he will answer you whenever he is ready to answer (has time for you). If you want an immediate answer then use other channels (phone, email) or make yourself clear that this is urgent.

Stop "whining?" This is a forum for posting comments and opinions. If you don't want the see a particular thread, I suggest that you unsubscribe from the thread rather than trolling its participants.

    New Teams alternative:

"Select a user’s avatar or profile photo anywhere in new Teams to quickly get an overview of their online status"

Instead of having a notification presented when it changes....

That is very different functionality. I honestly wonder how someone could have written that Microsoft change log with a straight face.
