Why is my "Notify when available" missing when I click on a user in Teams?

This is what is missing from a user we support.

Hello WilliamHicks6,

The Notify when available feature is not available in the new Teams. Currently, you will need to select a user’s avatar or profile photo anywhere in new Teams to quickly get an overview of their online status, next available calendar slot in Outlook, work hours, local time, or work location either remote or in office.

Thanks,

"The new Teams version of this feature is to continuously click someone's avatar to find out their availability" - having to frequently check on your own (depending on the urgency) is completely different from getting a notification. I can't imagine how anyone at Microsoft would think this is in any way an acceptable alternative.

I see there are a lot of people here who feel the same way - that this feature should never have been removed.

This has already been submitted a couple of times on the MS Feedback Portal - here are the links (would be great if enough people can upvote it to get it looked at!):

It seems many users are questioning why this feature is missing, at least 210 same questions on this site alone (and those are just the vocal users.) This is a necessary, time-saving, quality of life feature which needs to be brought back. An overview of their online status, next available calendar slot in Outlook, work hours, local time, or work location does not replace this functionality and defaulting to those mail options really nullifies the need for teams. No one wants to schedule a meeting with someone for a 2-minute call, nor do they want to wait a week+ for an email response to a single question, but they cannot sit for 8 hours waiting for the person to be available either. Sure people may not use it all the time, but Notify When Available still has it's uses. When it is needed, it's needed!

Yes, I´m using the new Teams, because I need the multiple Accounts in Teams. Therefore I can´t switch back to the classic version
