Missing language in spelling check on New Teams

Step 2 is the misunderstanding that many people have. They expect, that I change the keyboard layout because I type in a different language. This is not how I and many others work. I always use the same keyboard layout and type either German or English. Switching the layout is annoying, because the special characters are then somewhere else and I don't want to remember all the special characters for 2 layouts.

So switching the keyboard layout for language detection is just not how it should be!

@Microsoft: Please change this behaviour!

Hello. I have the same issue with Finnish language. I type in Finnish and every word is underlined with squiggly red line. There is no option to change the proofreading language in the NEW teams.

I want to keep the Teams program itself in English but I want to be able to change the spell checking language to Finnish. Better yet if the spell checking language could be changed based on person, just like in the old Teams.

This is still not fixed. Holy cow.

Who changes their keyboard layout when they type in a different language? Am I supposed to remember the positions of all the non-standard keys for every language? Who even comes up with such an idea?

I have subscribed to this question since more than half an year, and I kept using the old Teams because it works well.

Today my old Teams says that I must use the new one because the old one will be deleted in the following weeks.....

So I switched to New Teams, and found out that the spell check still doesn't work correctly.

Hi, I fully agree with Thibault's post.

It's ridiculous that after 3 months this option still doesn’t work.

Especially as it is not a new function, in previous versions this worked perfect.

Sadly I can’t switch back to the old version.

I’m used to type in three different languages in Teams and it’s frustrating that this doesn’t work anymore.

Probably MS programmers only speak one language.
