Hi,
I have set application language to Polish in New Teams, but still missing Polish spelling check (only English is there). It is missing ONLY in New Teams - it is not missing in any other application across my desktop.

I have noticed the same. As of recently, maybe a week or so ago, it started working again. Amazing that it took over a year and a half to get this fixed.
It appears that in the latest Teams release, the feature has been re-implemented.
I've tested it, writing some messages in different languages, and they've been automatically detected for spell check.
And by mid May 2025 the issue seems still there. Or any solution?
Same here. Spell check has only one activation box laft and seems to use the system language only. Please update Teams and bring back a selection of multiple languages. Why Microsoft, why :-(.
