Missing language in spelling check on New Teams

Firstly, thank you for the answer. I have tried all your tips, and none of them has fixed my issue. I've been using New Teams for a couple of days and almost always use Polish language, and it has never asked me to switch as you explained in first point.

Okay, Microsoft Teams team! It's time to get multi-language correction working the way it "used to" and "still should" tio reflect the huge percentage of the world that speaks more than one language! I would not use "New" Teams if I still had the choice because of this "downgrade".

When will the "New" Teams support at least the same auto-language correcction options as Word / Microsoft 365? At a minimum, if Teams can't bother detecting and asking which language we're using, at least allow me the option to define Teams langauge correction based on selecting the correct keyboard language! This would at least be a first step in the right direction!

Sadly, they've decided to worsen Teams in newer version instead of improving it. The only solution is to use the older version, v. 2 dosen't bring much anyway. Just click on 3 dots and deselect "New Teams".

The same happens to me in the new Teams, whereas I have English, German and Spanish installed in my computer. No matter what i do, I only see check spelling options in the Team reply box for English and English (United States).

Agree here completely with Thibault, although the issue is logged since November, so actually 7 months and therefore even worse....

It is unbelievable bad performance on a basic function, my whole team uses 3 languages at the same time, so for high quality professional communication this is essential.

I can´t believe we are even discussing this for months in 2024, it has 10.000 views so there are in reality hundred thousands of users facing this.

I have the same issue with French. Ever since we had New Teams installed, it does not seem to have the French dictionary even though I do select the French Canada keyboard, so the spellcheck has been rendered useless.
