Manually Hide Teams Tool Bar during Presentations, or move it out of the way

Y'all closed the last thread about this so I'm opening a new one. The problem is still the same and the implementation still gets in the way of people doing business with your tool. What I don't understand is why the previous thread was closed with so many people over years complaining of the same problem. The toolbar getting in the way leads to wasted time telling others to wait to proceed so you can see what is on the screen. Come on, Microsoft, you can fix this.

A new post to reflect that this has been discussed and responded to numerous times in the thread "Hiding Teams Control Task Bar (at Bottom of Teams Screen) During a Meeting (So Screenshot of Shared Screen is Clean)". Despite being in the 'answered' state, this is still a major problem. The core problem is not related to screen shots, but usage in general.

The Teams Tool Bar is constantly in the way of presentations. Either my own, or the presenters. A mechanism is required to allow the user to manually hide, move or pin elsewhere the Teams Tool bar.

Please fix.

Seconded regarding giving a manual, granular control.

Every few weeks, a new Teams update comes along that changes the mechanism for hiding the side-bar, some of which have worked better than others. Problem is, each time I still have to waste time digging through setting (to no avail), else change my Teams window-size to trigger the auto-hide (which no longer works as of around 8pm today). Please implement an obvious, manual control for side-bar behavior and stick with it.

The constant changes are infuriating.

I am still dealing with this issue in 2024. Can't believe its not fixed yet. So frustrating.

See my earlier reply on May 2 (and giving proper credit to @Brandi Stewart for the original answer):
"pressing that nasty top control bar" or "moving your mouse to make it appear" is not entirely complete; press somewhere on the top control bar to make it 'active' -- i found pressing the time clock on the Sharing Toolbar to be the most innocuous part to click to make it 'active'.

Then the Ctrl-W (Cmd-W on Macs) makes it disappear -- and I don't think there's a way to make the control-bar reappear -- all I've found is to Stop Sharing, and then resume Sharing to have it go back to the default of appearing when you mouse up to the top -- and it's hiding your browser tabs again :-| )

Found out today that simply pressing that nasty top control bar and hit CMD + W (macOS) to completely close it 🤯

PS: On macOS the CMD key is the same as the Windows key on Windows keyboards and the hotkey closes the currently active window. Hope that helps you to fine the correct combination for Windows 👍
