Upload Image/Banner on Announcement post is no longer available.

We are able to create the announcement post with custom image/banner but with the latest version of teams- 1.6.00.12405 (64-bit), the feature to upload custom image/banner is no longer available.

Any workaround to bring back the feature?

    Hi Rachel,

    Using Firefox does let you use add an image, but even though it suggests you are in public preview, you are not looking at the preview.

    When using preview in the app version of Teams , you start a new post from the top, and the announcement element only lets you change colour.

    When logged in to Teams on Firefox, this feature is not being previewed, we're just looking at the current version.

    It's all very confusing, but acceptable, as it is just a preview.

    It takes arround 10 seconds to uncheck public peview and post a picture rich, announcement post. :)

    Now its October and they are pushing new Teams - this is still like this - as someone who uses Teams to write updates and bloggy info for engagement - its annoying..

    I'm with you Caroline, I use the announcements to grab the teams attention, it really helps it to stand out amongst the myriad of messages we pass between eachothe,r every day.

    Like you I thought it was just because I was using early access, but it doesn't seem to be available at all now.

    I still use it, by not using new Teams and also removing my public preview check.

    Perhaps someone at MS will know what they are doing, or have the courtesy to respond :)

    I too keep flicking on new Teams to see whether it holds up and so far it doesn't.

    We have decided to defer moving our org to the new Teams, as initially it doesn't offer the functionality we currently have.

    I understand they are making great strides to catch up and its getting there.. but its still well annoying.

    I am a HUGE teams advocate, I have pushed and sold 'Teams' to our whole org... but at the moment new Teams its not doing what it needs to do .

    Update to this: Firefox is still working for me. I use that to post anything with a banner, and do everything else in the Teams app. If you need to edit the original post, you need to do it in Firefox though - if you edit the post in the Teams app, it'll mess things up. So I've always got Firefox open, but only for that reason.
