We are able to create the announcement post with custom image/banner but with the latest version of teams- 1.6.00.12405 (64-bit), the feature to upload custom image/banner is no longer available.
Any workaround to bring back the feature?

Can you just let people put their own images up. You have to be kidding?
No wonder my existing announcement with banner image just suddenly gone... They should bring back the banner image upload feature!
By the looks of the image Kris, I'd say it's the new "improved" 2" version. I do like the integration of AI to create an appropriate background. Be fun to see what happens :)
This is great news! One question, is the banner size still going to be HUGE 2" in height and take up half the screen or will be going back to the smaller 1" height?
