What happened to the spellcheck feature on the new Teams??

I have notice that the spell check seems to be broken on the new Teams version. The incorrectly spelled word still gets underlined in red, and a suggestion list populates as it used to, but the suggestions are ridiculous. A perfect example is the word "definitely".

I misspelled because as "becasue" and it gave me the suggestions of "berceuse", "beaus" and "recase". What in the world?? I feel like we just regressed 10 years. Also, mine is the newest teams app on the newest windows platform.

Welcome to my world! I am not the best at typing, so I count on basic auto-correct. The options it gives now are so bad that I don't use it and just figure it out myself manually. I do not understand how even if it is using the basic dictionary from the OS how does it not have the most basic of English words!

Further mor the tech I was working with from Microsoft thanked me for letting them know what I had learned about the problem. They don't seem to know the first thing about this issue. So frustrating.

They cannot fix this soon enough!
