What happened to the spellcheck feature on the new Teams??

I have notice that the spell check seems to be broken on the new Teams version. The incorrectly spelled word still gets underlined in red, and a suggestion list populates as it used to, but the suggestions are ridiculous. A perfect example is the word "definitely".

Spell checking was working in new Teams for me until this week (I agree, it was not as good as classic Teams in terms of sensible suggestions / recognised mis-spellings) but as of new Teams version 23335.232.2637.4844(preview) upgrade which I have just applied, spell checking appears to be completely absent - Nothing is underlined or identified as being mis-spelt at all now. This is despite the Settings, General 'Enable spell check' option remaining as checked post-update. So functionality seems to be being removed, not improved ...?
