What happened to the spellcheck feature on the new Teams??

I have notice that the spell check seems to be broken on the new Teams version. The incorrectly spelled word still gets underlined in red, and a suggestion list populates as it used to, but the suggestions are ridiculous. A perfect example is the word "definitely".

Where else is this Windows 11 spellcheck used?

There is no spellcheck in Notepad, CMD, or PowerShell.

I can't think of why MS would even have a Windows 11 spellcheck.

Yes, I agree. The January '24 cumulative update for Windows 11 seems to have made improvement to spellchecking so things are definitely moving in the right direction.

I got some updates over the weekend. Now the Teams spellcheck is working perfectly again after months of this issue.

I know its 6 pages now, but read the rest of the thread. Microsoft has acknowledged there is an issue with spellcheck in Windows 11 - which is what Teams uses for its spellcheck. They intend to provide the fix sometime in Feb or March.

I've done everything suggested and the spell check is still not working. Why?
