What happened to the spellcheck feature on the new Teams??

I have notice that the spell check seems to be broken on the new Teams version. The incorrectly spelled word still gets underlined in red, and a suggestion list populates as it used to, but the suggestions are ridiculous. A perfect example is the word "definitely".

had to exit Teams, clear it's cache and then sign back in... annoyingly worked with one Teams account, but as soon as I put my 2nd account in the redline went away again. :(

The new teams does not have the red line when something is misspelt. The old teams has it, however the new teams does not. Please fix.

Looks like MS put out an advisory on this (for M365 business tenant admins) - TM711150 - which also includes my workaround about clearing the cache. Hopefully they get it properly fixed sooner than later.

Didn't work for me. Deleted that folder and -- still no spell check at all.
