What happened to the spellcheck feature on the new Teams??

I have notice that the spell check seems to be broken on the new Teams version. The incorrectly spelled word still gets underlined in red, and a suggestion list populates as it used to, but the suggestions are ridiculous. A perfect example is the word "definitely".

2023-11-21T13:48:19+00:00 I have a similar problem with the new teams. My preferred languages are:
- Dutch (Netherlands)
- English (US)
Since the new teams all my writing in dutch get these 'red waves' underneath 95% of all my words. It's trying to "fix" the miss spelled words into English ones.
I can't seem to fix this issue. In the classic teams (and all the other Office 365 applications) the spell check was/is working fine.
Please Microsoft, fix this issue

Simple words like "dont" which is missing the apostrophe are identified as misspelled however the suggestions are all wrong. In the past, the context aided the system in finding the correctly spelled word but now it is not. I suspect that this is attempting to use Microsoft's AI technology and the AI is failing but for whatever reason, I have users who are upset that a feature they had come to depend on is now failing them. Microsoft software is suffering right now as I have users also complaining about the File Explorer in Windows 11 which is also not working correctly.
Microsoft, please don't break things that have worked for years!

2023-11-17T16:53:16+00:00 Why doesn't MS use a common spell-check dictionary? You would think it would be easier to have one for all MS applications / Office and all. Or maybe they should just buy Grammerly like they often do with a competitive application that is superior.
