Why is MS Teams jumping to a different chat than the one I chose to be in?

When I'm in a MS Teams chat with someone, it just jumps to another chat without notice. It happens when I'm not clicking on anything.

This is the version I have:

    This happens in our organisation too. Obviously it's ridiculous and very much in people's faces. Old Teams didn't do it. Any timescale to resolution?

    I, and some colleagues, have had the same issue in the last few months. We can send the 'Oops wrong chat' BUT we cannot delete the message. Due to traceability rules we cannot delete any messages in Teams.

    I really hope they figure this out because it is so ridiculous. I am literally waiting to send something to the wrong person because Teams decided to jump without me noticing!

    There have been multiple Teams app updates since I posted on Aug 8...and yet, I experienced the same bug just a few minutes ago. C'mon MSFT, where's your quality control?

    MY colleague says that when using teams in minimised view, is when this bug happens. If you use teams in maximised mode it should stop this happening as a work-around.

    Not happened again for me since.
