Why is MS Teams jumping to a different chat than the one I chose to be in?

When I'm in a MS Teams chat with someone, it just jumps to another chat without notice. It happens when I'm not clicking on anything.

This is the version I have:

    This may be happening due to pressing keyboard keys. Since the "New Teams" started to be used more heavily in my org I noticed that pressing "s" for example will jump me between chats that start with that letter. Is there a way to disable this behavior in the settings?

    Hi Allen

    Thanks for your reply. I did not seem to have the same problem in Teams on the web. I have cleared the new MS Teams cache several times and using different methods. I have previously uninstalled the new Teams and reinstalled, but no luck.

    That's interesting. I'm not aware of such patterns or cause, but will try to take notice. It seems to happen when I'm just reading in some chats and not pressing anything.

    Based on your further description, you may have a try to disable hardware acceleration. Go to "Settings" > "General" > "Disable hardware acceleration" and see if the issue persists.

    If the issue still persists, there is a sensitive forum that is responsible for consulting and questions about Teams. So I sincerely suggest you publish it on Microsoft Teams - Microsoft Community Hub. Engineers there who are responsible for consult about Teams will provide you further help.
