Why is MS Teams jumping to a different chat than the one I chose to be in?

When I'm in a MS Teams chat with someone, it just jumps to another chat without notice. It happens when I'm not clicking on anything.

This is the version I have:

    Thanks for confirming that TD RB, as my experience is also that it occurs whilst reading in a chat, not typing at all.

    I now have Microsoft Teams version 24137.2216.2931.2440. It says I've got the latest version. It was last checked on 10/07/2024.The client version is 49/24053101421.

    It would be great if Microsoft fixes this bug/error/issue please.

    I am having the exact same issue! It is driving me to distraction and not very secure or safe. I never had this issue with the old teams version.

    That's interesting. I'm not aware of such patterns or cause, but will try to take notice. It seems to happen when I'm just reading in some chats and not pressing anything.

    Thanks for your reply. I did not seem to have the same problem in Teams on the web. I have cleared the new MS Teams cache several times and using different methods. I have previously uninstalled the new Teams and reinstalled, but no luck.
