Why is MS Teams jumping to a different chat than the one I chose to be in?

When I'm in a MS Teams chat with someone, it just jumps to another chat without notice. It happens when I'm not clicking on anything.

This is the version I have:

    I have what seems to be a positive update :-)

    I've been on this version for over a week and haven't had the chat window change up for me.

    You have Microsoft Teams version 24243.1309.3132.617. You've got the latest version. It was last checked on 10/9/2024.The client version is 49/24090101421.

    I get this when I add a 100% emoji as a reaction. It then flips to a totally unrelated chat. Super frustrating.

    Checking in with the following version and it's still an issue.

    You have Microsoft Teams version 24231.512.3106.6573. You've got the latest version. It was last checked on 9/30/2024.The client version is 49/24081700421.

    It happens at random times throughout the day but I haven't been able to reproduce at will. Microsoft really needs to get a handle on this as it presents a lot of issues mentioned on this thread.

    Nope - not for me. And I've since been bitten by this multiple times - always embarrassing. Always extremely unprofessional. You'd think with $60B in stock buybacks they could hire some folks to actually do what they go on and on about - testing their own software and not releasing buggy software to the production environment. But I guess the old joke of your prod users being your testers is more true than ever.
