good morning
I am having the sam issue, but the is no application section.
Why is it that when I start up Teams it automatically opens up my Chats first?

I have my Microsoft Teams set to open up automatically when my computer starts, however, whenever it starts up the 'Chat' tab is always showing first. How can I make it so that the 'Teams' tab is what's shown when it first opens up. This is ever since switching to the new version.

2024-01-31T19:58:36+00:00 I have the same question as the original post, except I want it to start in Chat but mine is defaulting to the Teams grid (which isn't something I actually use at my institution). There is not an "Applications" option in the General settings as you have indicated in your instructions, and clicking on "App permissions" does not even list Chat as one of the apps to select and no indication of any "Open application in..." option anywhere.

2024-01-23T13:40:39+00:00 I would love a fix to this problem. I want mine to open in chat, there is no way to change this setting. The old version did not do that. Very frustrating.

2024-01-18T21:42:55+00:00 same issue can't have it start in calendar tab when using Mac - it defaults to chat which is about the worst default option I can think of.
