Why is it that when I start up Teams it automatically opens up my Chats first?

I have my Microsoft Teams set to open up automatically when my computer starts, however, whenever it starts up the 'Chat' tab is always showing first. How can I make it so that the 'Teams' tab is what's shown when it first opens up. This is ever since switching to the new version.

Thanks!

I have been having the same issue and I just discovered that by ticking "Auto-Start Teams" it re-opens where I closed it off last.
I haven't done a full-restart yet, but I've opened and closed and so far it seems to be holding!

Looks like this could be because the new teams, it works fine with the old teams, but now that we won't have any other option but to use the new teams then please get a solution to this asap, we need to setup to start with the Calander view first.

This really is unbelievable. Imagine the original post was from October 19. After all this time I would have expected a correction of the problem rather than just a reply, but they don't even bother to reply. Are they working on fixing it or are they giving up on it? You never know.

I know nobody's perfect, but guys, I'm so glad I do most of my work on mac os apps. This would drive me crazy.

A suggestion to MS - use the Apps order in the left column to determine the startup window behavior.

A few months ago I learned that you could alter the order of items in the (left) Apps column. Since I was always starting in Chat (and Chat was the top app) and wanted to start in Calls, I clicked and dragged Calls to the top of the Apps list - thinking this may influence the starting window behavior. No go. It still starts in Chat.

By-the-way, in my case, the apps order in the left column always appears as I had set it.

It is curious that various contributors to this thread have different startup windows.
