Why is it that when I start up Teams it automatically opens up my Chats first?

I have my Microsoft Teams set to open up automatically when my computer starts, however, whenever it starts up the 'Chat' tab is always showing first. How can I make it so that the 'Teams' tab is what's shown when it first opens up. This is ever since switching to the new version.

Thanks!

It always goes to "Teams" tab by me. - macOS NEW Teams. It really has no solution at this moment. I had to switch to the Classic Teams. Please draw Microsoft's attention to this thread, guys. As much as you can.

That works in classic Teams but not in new teams. It always goes to Chat.

    Hi,
I found out that Teams opens the app that was pinned most recently.

If you want Calendar to open when you start Teams you just need to first unpin Calendar and then pin it again.

Right click on it to do that.

    Cheers

Yes, I am also a Windows user and there is no Applications section in General settings. This annoying-as-hell issue needs to be corrected. One would think it would be a simple fix.

I am having the same issue as described by everyone else here - and I am a Windows user. So this issue is NOT Mac OS specific. The fix quoted in the original reply cannot be achieved because the menu options referred to are just not there.

It is utterly shocking that there remains no explanation or resolution for this 5+ months since the original posting.
